Fast-Trax Digital Technologies Inc of Irvine, California has licensed its Fast-Trax VD-1 interactive technology to Videoway Ltd of Montreal, Canada, which will integrate it into its multimedia system: the aim of the agreement is to enable Videoway to accommodate a variety of new interactive services and applications that bridge existing analogue and emerging digital multimedia systems, expanding Videoway’s markets to include interactive training and education, electronic home-shopping catalogues and multimedia transaction services to the home; Fast-Trax VD-1 provides a frame addressability feature and enhanced audio capability so that users can access specific information from electronic catalogues and databases interactively; Videoway is owned by Le Groupe Videotron Ltee and operates a similar system in its cable franchises in London.
