From April 1, British Telecommunications Plc’s Prestel charges will increase by a penny to 8 pence per minute – may not sound much but it’s nearly 15%, well ahead of the inflation rate, with CitiService premium time charges at 31p per minute; CitiService Real time Futures and Options will be charged at a minimum of UKP110 per quarter – all the prices exclude value added tax.
