Telephone calls abroad from Finland will become subject to competition between three companies on July 1, the Transport Ministry announced in Helsinki: Telecom Finland will face competition from Oy Finnet International Ab, owned by 48 local telephone communications operators, and from Telivo Oy, owned by state energy company Imatran Voima Oy; users will be able to choose their operator on a call by call basis by pre-fixing with 990, 999 or 994.
