Supermicros are becoming so big and expensive that customers are having to think seriously about lease finance, and General Automation Inc has moved to provide facilities for users of its big Zebra Pick machines. The Anaheim, California company has arranged a $10m leasing facility with Wells Fargo Leasing Corp, and says that leases for a number of Zebra dealers have already been funded. Approval turn-round time is just three days, and General Automation looks to the facility to give its dealers a significant commercial edge over other Pick-poppers. Wells Fargo Leasing Corp has 14 years’ experience in developing and administering commercial leasing programs, including reseller programmes in the computer industry. The $10m facility to General Automation is for one year, and covers third party software as well as computers.
