Stoke Gifford, Bristol-based Portcullis Technology Ltd has a new device to stop those thieves getting their hands on your computer equipment: called the Wobbler, it is a movement-sensitive security system that sets off a piercing 110 decibel alarm if someone tries to take off with your hardware once it is unplugged from the power supply; the pocket-sized device attaches directly into or onto each personal computer, printer or any piece of electrical equipment and the firm says it takes only a few minutes to fit into a spare expansion slot of any Apple Macintosh, MS-DOS or Windows personal computer; the alarm is set and armed using a key and several Wobblers can share a single key if desired; they cost ?65 each.
