Active Software Inc, the Santa Clara, California based provider of e-commerce integration software, has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering worth up to $75m. The number of shares to be sold and a price range have yet to be determined. Goldman Sachs & Co and Lehman Brothers Inc will act as the joint lead managers of the offering. The other co-managing underwriter of the offering is Dain Rauscher Wessels. Active posted a loss of $9.8m last year on revenue of $7.6m.

In another IPO filing Monday, Boston-based HarvardNet Inc said it was looking to sell stock worth up to $125m. The company, which provides high-speed data networking and web hosting services, has yet to determine the number of shares to be sold. Morgan Stanley Dean Witter will act as the lead underwriter of the offering, with other underwriters including Merrill Lynch & Co and Salomon Smith Barney. HarvardNet lost $1.3m last year on revenue of $4.3m.
