Telecommunications equipment, network applications and mobile devices provider ZTE is planning to launch Grand X IN, its first Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone with Intel Inside.

The new smartphone is powered by the low power Intel Atom processor Z2460 and features Intel Hyper-Threading Technology with support for HSPA+ 21Mbps network base on Intel XMM 6260 Platform.

ZTE Grand X IN sports a 4.3-inch, 16 million colour screen, 8MP camera, Blu-ray quality movie playback and a 1650 mAh, Li-Ion battery for long battery life.

The new communications capabilities include Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi & Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA and Mobile HD link (via micro-USB) short range connectivity. It also includes new audio-visual features: Dolby Sound, HD Video Capture and HD Voice.

ZTE Handsets Europe Operations vice president Ao Wen said the Grand X IN is the first ZTE smartphone in Europe to feature Intel Inside.

"The handsets in the ZTE Grand portfolio are quality devices focused on providing a great level of service and, with the inclusion of Intel’s technology in the Grand X IN, we have provided a handset with enhanced capabilities, reliability and performance," Ao Wen said.
