ZTE, a provider of telecommunications equipment and network offerings, has introduced IMS-based PSTN/ISDN Emulation offering that supports multiple legacy access modes at same time, including H.248, V5, PRI/BRI, H.323, MGCP, NCS and IETF SIP.
The new IMS-based offering consist Access Gateway Control Function (AGCF) as a key element in the IMS core.
The new offering when implemented with ZTE’s Multiple Service Access Gateway, emulates the functions of old switches, reduces power consumption and simplifies operation and maintenance.
In addition, the IMS-based PSTN/ISDN emulation offering supports multiple broadband access technologies, including LTE and xPON.
The offering also helps to increase ARPU by unifying the operation and provisioning/charging system, user date management and open service capability.
ZTE core network products vice president Wang Xiaoqiang said based on their experience in fixed network field, the company understands the requirements and challenges faced by fixed network operators.
"ZTE provides IMS offering to migrate the existing legacy network and deploy new multimedia services, enabling the operators to achieve successful business transformation," Xiaoqiang said.
