The nine Asian operators include Aircel Limited (India), BPL Mobile (India), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (India), DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Malaysia), PT EXCELCOMINDO PRATAMA Tbk. (Indonesia), PT Hutchison CP Telecom (Indonesia), PT Indosat, Tbk (Indonesia), PCCW Mobile HK Limited (Hong Kong) and Starhub Ltd (Singapore).

Previously in June 2007, the company announced deals with six mobile operators in Asia to extend the distribution of its mobile search service in the region. These operators collectively have a base of over 100 million subscribers.

On November 13 2007, Yahoo! launched Chinese language version of Yahoo! Go 2.0 for Taiwan, an application for mobile internet access with a suite of widgets. Available in 14 countries across Asia, Europe and the Americas, Yahoo! Go 2.0 has a selection of widgets including oneSearch, Flicks photos, weather, news e-mail and GPS integration for devices that have GPS.

Rival search engine, Google has also been actively pursuing its mobile ambitions in Asia. In the beginning of this year, Google entered into a deal with China Mobile to provide mobile and internet search services in China. In September 2007, it announced the availability of AdSense, its advertising service, for mobile phones available in India, China and Japan.
