The World Bank has deployed WBT Systems’ learning management system, TopClass, to support its learning programme for 10,000 staff worldwide.

TopClass LMS includes Instructor Led Training (ILT) management, approvals workflow engine and extended catalogue and registration. It manages, tracks and monitors both online and classroom training for the World Bank staff. The technology can be accessed through a single interface with an online catalogue of 600 courses. WBT says that its LMS integrates with the World Bank’s HR and financial systems and with business objects.

Paul Dooley, CEO of WBT Systems, said: “The success of the World Bank enterprise learning initiative demonstrates WBT’s ability to not only deliver world class learning solutions, but to also deliver value and results for our customers. This is another example of the power and flexibility of the TopClass solution being brought to bear to improve learning at a global organisation.”

Headquartered in Dublin, WBT claims to provide learning technologies to over one million users worldwide. One of its prominent customers is Volvo Construction Equipment, which has implemented TopClass LMS to train its dealer sales and service staff online. The new sales team members go through the training material online before attending classroom training.

WBT’s blue-chip customers include AHIMA, Alexander Forbes, Allergan, Basler Insurance, Belgacom, Credit Suisse, Diageo, Dow Chemical, Eurocontrol, Liberty Group, Smith & Nephew, Standard Life, and Valero Energy.
