The software, which is powered by Medi-Span’s Master Drug Database, provides daily pricing and product information updates and can be accessed from any secure internet connection. The software allows users to search for products by manufacturer, NDC, trade and generic name, as well as Medi-Span’s classification system.
The system can also access dosing parameters from Medi-Span’s Medication Order Management Database. Using this information the software can accurately calculate the daily cost of therapy and provide a list of generic equivalents that may possibly reduce the cost.
