Vitria Technology Inc is revving its marketing machine and soon hopes to be airing three or four customer stories a month. So far it has rounded up 13 customers that are willing to go public on their use of BusinessWare. These are: AB Watley (electronic brokerage), ADC Telecommunications (telecom OEM), Covad Communications (telecom order management), Deutsche Bank (financial services integration), Federal Express (logistics), Fujitsu PC (web order to manufacturing integration), Hewitt Associates (HR benefits outsourcing), Infinity (financial services OEM), KPMG (internal process integration), Lehman Brothers (financial services information integration), Pacific Bell/SBC (telecom customer information integration), Quintessent Communications (telecom integration OEM) and Vanstar Corp (PC service outsourcing integration across multiple applications and divisions). There’s more to come, it promises. Vitria says it is now 100% focused on mission critical deployments. The company is also working on a new connector to SAP R/3 that will enable users to graphically browse all of SAP objects and externalize them for integration with other applications. In addition, it has released about a dozen new connectors, including ones for Vantive, Clarify, Selectica and SAP, in the last three months. It says the process of developing the connectors is becoming relatively straightforward as its connector toolkit matures.
