UXC believe the deal will enable Red Rock to pursue an acquisition strategy that would include the takeover of two Australian technology companies in the next 12 to 18 months.
Red Rock, which employs 90 consultants across offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Auckland, provides services including Oracle application development, bespoke application configuration and selective outsourcing services around Oracle tools.
The company counts firms such as Vodafone Australia, Vodafone New Zealand, Fujitsu Xerox, Diageo and Manpower among its customers.
The news comes at a time when the Australian services market is experiencing significant consolidation as local providers attempt to scale up to compete against larger global competitors such as IBM Global Services, CSC, and EDS.
