US Auto Parts, an internet retailer of aftermarket auto parts, has deployed Tableau Software’s data visualisation software throughout the company to analyse product sales, profitability, pricing, e-mail marketing and fulfillment.
Sarah Gustafson, US Auto Parts Vice President of Business Analytics, stated: “Tableau has saved hours and hours of time pulling and manipulating data so we can focus more time on the activities that really matter—analysing the data and serving up discoveries and recommendations to move the business forward.”
Tableau said that its Desktop data visualisation software connects directly to data sources allowing people to understand complex relationships through engaging and easy-to-understand reports, business dashboards and visualisations. Tableau Server extends the functionality of Desktop to the web, enabling entire organisations to share, discover and participate with their data via a web browser, added Tableau.
Christian Chabot, CEO of Tableau, said: Like many internet retailers, US Auto Parts has a deep need for analytics that the business team can control and serve themselves. With Tableau, US Auto Parts is changing how the company operates by giving people the information they need to understand trends in real time. And they’re doing this without the delays and overhead of traditional IT-centric business intelligence software.
