For over eight years Oacis has been successfully linking Adelaide’s care venues and disparate systems into an integrated EHR city wide. With 75% of the state’s patient population living within urban boundaries, we’ve integrated a tremendous amount of patient information while systematizing the workflow of thousands of clinicians, said John Mleczko, director, projects branch ICT services, South Australia Department of Health (SADH). He added that he expects the vOacis application will enable the department to extend this value across the entire state.
Oacis aims to interconnect disparate systems within and beyond care delivery organization domains. SADH first implemented Oacis in 1997 and utilizes its results review, order management and EMPI modules.
