After five years in the Russian market, French-based systems integrator Ultimate has opened an office in Moscow. The operation is a 100% French-owned company. The Russian manager in charge is Sergey Fandeev, formerly of A/O Prolog. Ultimate’s turnover in Russia in 1993-94 was $2m. It is a Pick and Unix systems specialist and sells Unix products from Hewlett-Packard Co, the HP 9000, Compagnie des Machines Bull SA DPX/20 and IBM Corp RS/6000; it is also geared up to support Sequoia Systems Inc kit. It specialises in large accounts and currently has 30 customers. It offers everything from site preparation and network architecture design through to call out service and remote diagnostics and has 20 service professionals in Russia.
