UK start-up Docu-Fax International Ltd looks set to revive the sorely missed UK telegram service: Docu-Fax has set up a network of 1,200 facsimile receiving centres across the UK which will deliver a message anywhere within a three-mile radius – to send a faxgram, customers simply access Docu-Fax’s base in Ashford from one of its facsimile centres – an outlet with one of its fax machines in it – or via Payfax, a credit card-operated pay-as-you-use public facsimile machine, the first of which was formally launched by Docu-Fax yesterday; Docu-Fax hopes to have 800 Payfaxes in place in the UK by the end of this year.
