IMC offers computer-aided dispatch, records management, civil processing, administrative and multi-agency data sharing solutions to public safety agencies. The acquisition adds more than 700 customers for TriTech in the US.
As part of the agreement, IMC will continue to focus on its product development and services in supporting public safety software applications for small to medium size law enforcement, fire and emergency medical service agencies. TriTech, as the parent company, will continue its focus on the top tier agency market with clients such as Denver, Minneapolis, Dallas, and San Diego metropolitan, county and state agencies.
According to TriTech, the addition of IMC’s office on the east coast to its headquarters in San Diego creates a bi-coastal presence for the combined company. The new entity will be one of the largest public safety software and services organizations in the US with close to 900 installations in 6 countries around the world.
The company said that Bernard Noe, president at IMC will continue for 12-months as an advisor to TriTech.

The public safety systems market has witnessed a number of mergers and acquisitions in the past year. In March 2007, communications solutions provider IPC acquired TriTech’s competitor Positron Public Safety Systems to expand its product portfolio and customer base. Another competitor Intergraph was acquired by an investor group led by Hellman and Friedman and Texas Pacific Group in November 2006.
