The Naperville, Illinois-based company blamed the shortfall on lower-than-expected revenue from wireless service providers in North America. The gross margin is expected to range from 31% to 32%, compared with its previous prediction of 36%.
Tellabs revenue has been falling for the past year as a wave of mergers amongst US carriers has curbed spending programs.
