New Hartford, New York-based PAR Technology Corp says its PAR Microsystems subsidiary has three new industrial applications for IBM’s data collection systems and family of 7527 data collection terminals: written for OS/2, they are CIMscribe, which integrates user-application tools with such factory-floor functions as data collection transaction processing, time and attendance, labour reporting, job and material tracking, label printing, and data import-export; CIMbridge, designed to enable IBM 8100/364X customers to migrate their applications to IBM’s Computer-Integrated Manufacturing and Systems Application Architecture machines; and CIMprint, which processes input from CIMbridge, CIMscribe or user-written applications to produce user-defined images for printing tags, labels, travellers’ and other documents in any combination of text, bar codes, magnetic encoding and OCR fonts; no prices.
