Tango wins Luxembourg 3G license

Tango, the Luxembourg mobile operator, has been awarded a 3G license by the Ministry of Telecommunications. The company, which is owned by Sweden's Tele2, is Luxembourg's largest operator.

Tango beat Orange and P&T Luxembourg to take first place in the beauty contest, which allowed it to be the first to choose a frequency from the three available.

Tango Sunshine radio and Tango TV will be the main providers of content for the UMTS network.
