Systems International Group Plc, the Harrow, UK-based IT consultancy, is on the lookout for acquisitions and is targeting companies who have struggled in recent months. With cash resources of 4.5m pounds ($7.2m), the company is confident that it can find suitable opportunities, grow its business and realize joint savings. In its first full year as a public company, Systems International increased net income by 52.6% to 1.6m pounds ($2.5m) on revenue that rose 37.8% to 17m pounds ($27.3m). Earnings per share rose 52.3% to 4.77 pence. Chairman Bob Nellist says that while the next few months will see a continuing of the slowdown in the consultancy sector because of Y2K, he anticipates an acceleration in activity during the second half.
