Symantec Corp, Cupertino, California has been having a quiet word with Tandy Corp, Fort Worth, Texas, and the two have come to a mutually beneficial agreement, and the result is a new version of its Q&A Write word processor, DeskMate Q&A Write, which mobilises the Tandy DeskMate graphical user interface. Claimed to be the first word processor for DeskMate, it comes with pull-down menus, mouse support, page preview and enhanced graphics, and an integrated run-time version of DeskMate is included in the package, so that any user of a standard MS-DOS micro can use the thing, which ships at the end of the month to Radio Shack Computer Centers and some Radio Shack stores in the US, at $200.
