The SunGard Recovery Services Inc arm of Wayne, Pennsylvania- based Sungard Data Systems Inc has has acquired the disaster recovery business of Data Assurance Corp of Englewood, Colorado. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but the target initially provided disaster recovery services to the credit union industry operating on Data General Corp operating systems, and quickly expanded its computer hot-site offering across broad industry lines including financial services, insurance, manufacturing and health care. It has since added a wide range of high- end distributed and client-server systems, including those of most of the top computer manufacturers.
