The business training company Summer International Plc is to acquire business training course company London EC1-based Interactive Information Systems for UKP19.8m. Summer which has an annual turnover of around UKP20m (based on an interim figure of UKP9.4m) intends to become the largest international organisation offering business education and training, hence its bid for Interactive Information which had a turnover last year of just under UKP4m. Interactive Information produces the Talent Series of off-the-shelf business courses as well as one-to-one visual training packages using interactive video technology. Its current clients include IBM, the Post Office and the Halifax Building Society, and it will use the backing of Summer to develop an international market. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group, along with Interactive Information’s other shareholders have all agreed the acquisition.
