59% of the survey respondents said that their biggest priority is to reduce the cost and complexity of maintaining storage, while 43% said their number one priority is to reduce the cost and time required to provision, and activate or boot servers.

That should not be taken to mean that storage is now the biggest problem in IT. Brocade is a storage supplier, and it said that the survey respondents included many storage networking professionals.

This is the fourth consecutive year that the survey has found that cost and complexity are the number one issue. Close behind the server activation issues was business continuity, which in third place was listed as the number one priority by 42% of respondents.
