Demonstrated to provide significant reductions in mortality and length of stay, eICU technology in conjunction with the eICU care model enable hospitals to meet stringent patient care safety standards by ensuring all ICU patients receive continuous care from physicians and nurses who specialize in critical care.
The initial eICU installation at St. Joseph will link a total of 35 ICU beds at Santa Rosa Memorial and Petaluma Valley Hospitals. Future phases of the project may include both affiliated and non-affiliated hospitals in northern and southern California and possibly Texas.
St. Joseph is an innovative community healthcare leader and the eICU Program will only improve their outstanding level of patient safety and quality care, said Frank Sample, Visicu chairman and CEO. Visicu is proud to partner with St. Joseph’s in implementing tools that support clinicians in delivering the highest caliber care to the sickest patients.
