SSA Japan, marketing packaged software for the IBM AS/400, is to link up with a number of other Japanese software companies for sales and support of its software lines, which include BPCS, and AS/SET, a software engineering tool that generates RPG code: Japanese versions of BPCS and AS/SET are to be released this month and in March and companies that are participating in the programme include Sumisho Computer Services Ltd, Kubota Systems Development Ltd, SET, which distributes Cognos Inc’s Powerhouse in Japan, and Toyo Information Systems, a larger systems house that is linked with Sanwa Bank.
