Separately, Spyglass Inc, Champaign, Illinois has a second release of its Enhanced NCSA Mosaic graphical Internet browser, to enable people to publish and link documents created with Adobe Acrobat 2.0 software over the Internet and the World Wide Web. It works with Acrobat Exchange software to enable users to view Portable Document Format files published on the Web and access other documents by clicking on embedded hyperlinks in the Portable Document Format documents. It automatically launches the Acrobat Exchange software when it encounters a Portable Document Format file. Adobe has also announced an agreement with Associated Press under which the news agency will incorporate Acrobat into AdSEND, its digital advertising delivery service that enables an advertiser to electronically transmit adverts to newspapers throughout the US. Acrobat will reproduce the advert copy and images through the Portable format, retaining the visual appearance of the advert across a wide range of computer systems and typesetting equipment. The data is then transmitted by Integrated Services Digital Network or standard telephone lines, and received by 80486 personal computers running OS/2.
