Provider of metro optical access solutions, Sorrento Networks, entered into a value added distribution partnership with Poland-based Veracomp.
This partnership aims to meet the increasing demand for 10 Gigabit Ethernet and other WDM based services through the Sorrento product family throughout Veracomp’s 16 country footprint, including Poland.
Sorrento’s GigaMux 3200 is said to provide a cost-effective WDM solution to Veracomp’s customers and prospects and provides Veracomp with a network solution to strengthen their portfolio.
Veracomp Networks Department director, board member Mariusz Kochanski, said the GigaMux product family from Sorrento Networks brings a feature rich WDM product to Veracomp’s portfolio of IT solutions.
"The increasing demand for high data speed connections from data centers to the core networks requires WDM products that Sorrento offers. We believe the Sorrento Networks relationship will improve our ability to address this increasing demand and also fulfill our customers’ bandwidth needs moving forwar," said Kochanski.
Sorrento Networks CEO Jim Nevelle said the company was excited to be expanding its sales channels through this partnership.
