VMware, a provider of virtualisation and cloud infrastructure services, introduced View 4.6 with enhanced remote access via the companies View Security Server support for PCoIP.

The View is a complete, virtual desktop offering that enables enterprises to improve security, simplify desktop administration and management by establishing a modern, end-user computing architecture.

View Security Server support for PCoIP allows for a simple, secure remote connection and authentication to a user’s desktop by removing the requirement for enterprise-class SSL VPNs and providing customers with options when initiating end-to-end PCoIP protocol session.

This process facilitates in tightly-integrated desktop virtualisation deployment that provides for easy authentication of remote users.

VMware end-user computing products director Raj Mallempati said the release of View 4.6 with PCoIP support for View Security Server provides a simple and secure way for users to access their View desktops remotely, while taking advantage of a superior PCoIP experience.
