Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless and handset vendor Pantech have launched a new slider phone by Personal Communications Devices, which allows customers to manage ringtones, wallpapers and games from personal networks.
According to Verizon Wireless, the new Pantech Jest embodies 2.6inches 262K colour TFT display, optical directional key with swipe motion technology, built-in 2.0-megapixel camera and Self Icon personalisation to create icons and banners and display an electronic sign on phone display.
The company said that the new slider mobile features Social Beat pre-loaded for direct connections to Facebook, MySpace and Twitter; text, picture, video and voice messaging and Mobile IM and chat.
In addition, the phone also comes with stereo bluetooth technology, Media Center that facilitates to download ringtones, wallpapers and games from networks; VZ Navigator for detailed US maps in real time with audible turn-by-turn directions; mobile web browsing capabilities; and V CAST Music with Rhapsody digital music service.
