Multi-platform terminal emulation software and security applications developer VanDyke Software has released its SecureCRT 7.0 which provides customers to tile multiple sessions on the Windows platform.
SecureCRT is a terminal client that helps IT professionals manage secure remote access and securely "tunnel" e-mail, web and corporate application data.
The new release includes a built-in TFTP server that helps network administrators on Windows, Linux and Mac platforms to manage an array of network devices, such as Cisco routers, from one application.
SecureCRT 7.0 also features the ability to skip authentication methods such as PublicKey or GSSAPI that might not be supported or configured on some systems, enhancements to mapping functions, button and automatic updates to changed passwords in the Mac Keychain.
SecureCRT product director Maureen Jett said tiling provides a big benefit when working on multiple network devices since they can view multiple sessions at once.
"Another major time saver is the ability to use the chat window to send commands to all tiled sessions and then see the resulting output," Jett said.
