Mobile security protection firm TrustGo has launched TrustGo Antivirus & Mobile Security, a new application that combines protection and eradication of a range of risky app behaviors, along with prevention through its Secure App Finder Engine (SAFE).
The new application can identify, and alert users to inappropriate activity and permissions acquired by apps that can lead to the misuse of personal identity data, privacy intrusions, and data hijacking.
Using the TrustGo Antivirus & Mobile Security’s connection to the SAFE cloud database, apps are categorised as Certified, High Risk, Low Risk or Malicious, depending on the nature of the behaviors detected.
The new release provides on-demand or scheduled scans of all the apps on user phone, plus instant scans of new apps user download. It also provides system tools and reports to manage apps, memory, data usage and more.
TrustGo Antivirus & Mobile Security delivers a dashboard view of all the apps with access to your most sensitive data and gives an instant notification when a site is known to be malicious or part of a phishing scheme.
It also stores a backup copy of user phone’s data securely in the cloud and remotely locate user phone if it is missing or stolen. Lock it, set off an alarm or wipe user personal information.
