Symantec has unveiled its Managed Service Provider (MSP) strategy which is designed to make it easier and more cost effective for partners to deliver Symantec’s backup and security offerings as managed services.
While minimising added overhead costs Symantec partners can effectively deliver and manage multiple products and services with the help of the new and expanded integration with leading remote monitoring and management (RMM) platforms and new cloud-based offerings.
The integration of Symantec Backup Exec 2010, Backup Exec 2010 for Windows Small Business Server, Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1, and Endpoint Protection 12.1 Small Business Edition with RMM platforms, including Kaseya, LabTech, Level Platforms, and N-able allows Symantec partners to easily deploy, monitor, and manage their customer’s backup and security offerings to reduce costs and deliver improved service to their customers.
With Symantec Backup Exec 2010 new private cloud services, partners can backup and manage multiple customers through a single, secure Backup Exec console and provide integrated off-site protection through any partner infrastructure.
Symantec Backup Exec.cloud and Symantec Endpoint Protection.cloud are quick to set-up and can be managed through a single console hosted in the cloud by Symantec, says the company.
The Symantec’s MSP strategy also includes the ExSP Licensing Program and an enhanced SMB Specialisation Program.
ExSP program offers Symantec partners of all sizes the choice of buying Symantec software in a monthly subscription-based model, while SMB program provides opportunities for SMB partners who display knowledge and experience in an offering area or market to drive predictable, profitable growth.
Symantec North America Channel Sales vice president Randy Cochran said Symantec partners are wanting more opportunities when it comes to delivering services to their customers and Symantec is committed to giving them more opportunities to grow their services businesses with Symantec.
"With Symantec’s trusted solutions, flexible deployment options and innovative programs, service provider partners are empowered to differentiate their services, maximize opportunities and accelerate profitability,"
