Sunbelt, a provider of security software, is extending its security portfolio with the addition of two new products, VIPRE Email Security for Gateway and VIPRE Web Filter, which utilise the company’s VIPRE anti-malware engine to provide security protection to businesses.
The company claims that VIPRE Email Security for Gateway provides email security appliance that delivers carrier-grade reliability to help administrators build a secure messaging infrastructure with better price and performance.
The VIPRE Gateway offers inbound and outbound protection from viruses, spam and malicious attachments, built-in disclaimers, and rules-based email management. In addition, it combines email security elements of spam and virus protection, corporate policy and compliance, email privacy and secure email gateway capabilities into an easy-to-manage platform, Sunbelt said.
According to Sunbelt, the VIPRE Gateway features antispam engine from CloudMark; nationwide on-site support; attachment filtering; disclaimers; admin-level and user-level quarantine management; at-a-glance reporting and dashboard; and integration with existing email servers, such as MS Exchange and directories like Active Directory and LDAP.
The VIPRE Web Filter is a threat management offering that provides integrated content filtering, application blocking, and malware protection. It includes features such as detection of hidden and malicious content; secure filtering with authentication; reporting; traffic tracking; web caching; and system resource efficiency.
The VIPRE Email Security for Gateway and VIPRE Web Filter are expected to be available in the third quarter of 2010.
