Squiz has released a new version of open source CMS MySource Matrix, which comes with an integrated Funnelback Search for delivering effective indexing and searching of content housed in a MySource Matrix system.
The company said that the MySource Matrix has been integrated with purpose-built Funnelback binaries incorporating features for improving search results such as contextual navigation, featured pages, type formats and spelling suggestions. In addition, the Funnelback Search Page asset has been expanded to make it easier to implement the features.
According to Squiz, scripts available within the Funnelback package can be configured to update the index, and provides administrator control over the frequency with which the indexer is run, according to the amount of content being indexed and its dynamic requirements.
Stephen Morgan, managing director of Squiz UK, said: “Our continued belief in the importance of effective search for successful CMS projects is driving forward the relationship between Squiz and Funnelback.
“We’re proud to be able to offer ‘cutting edge’ search seamlessly integrated into what is already a feature rich CMS. The pace of the integration, post acquisition has been very impressive and we are excited by the rest of the development roadmap planned for 2010.”
