Sophos has introduced its UTM Manager, a new free central management tool that claimed to simplify the process of managing multiple UTM installations.

The new UTM Manager will enable Sophos application providers to offer managed security services, while managing all of their clients’ unified threat management devices, regardless of location, the company said.

Sophos new application simplifies the management of UTM installations by providing partners with a single console, thereby reducing bandwidth usage and management time.

In addition, the UTM manager will remove the need for partners to manage passwords and device records manually for their clients and partners can now make policy changes, check logs and update configurations.

It also enable partners to manage antivirus and device management features, the company added.

Sophos senior product manager Angelo Comazzetto said the company offers its partners the free tool to manage UTM installations so they can grow their business without spending much to manage their sites.

"As we continue to integrate new security features such as Sophos Mobile Control into our UTM, we will extend the reach of the UTM Manager so partners can manage their clients’ complete security deployments through the central console," Comazzetto said.
