Social media and mobility’s impact on business will be the focus of this year’s SAP User Group conference in Birmingham.

The annual conference brings together hundreds of SAP staff and users of its services from across the UK and Ireland, and it is set to take place from November 24 to November 26 at the ICC.

User group chairman Philip Adams will give a keynote speech, as will SAP co-CEO Jim Hagemann Snabe and motivational speaker Mandy Hickson.

They will address the new technologies shaping the future of business as part of a theme titled ‘Tomorrow’s World’.

Craig Dale, CEO of SAP User Group UK & Ireland, said: "Industries across the board are seeing exponential levels of change, being driven by factors such as mobility, social media and big data.

"With no SapphireNow event taking place in Europe this year, the 2013 SAP User Conference will be the definitive place for UK users to get the latest product information and insight.

"We are also delighted to be welcoming Jim Hagemann Snabe back as a keynote speaker. Combining all this with the all the networking opportunities available to delegates, this year’s conference shouldn’t be missed.

"The event will host 70 breakout sessions covering areas such as cloud, mobility, supply chain management and application lifecycle management as well as HANA, which is to be incorporated into SAS’s business analytics software to deliver new big data solutions.

For the first time, there will be sessions dedicated to helping users better use SAP technology, as well as a forum where CIOs can discuss their latest strategic challenges.
