Salesforce.com has reported revenues of $394.4m in the second quarter of fiscal 2011, an increase of 25% as compared to $316.1m of the year-ago quarter.

Revenue from subscription and support was $369m, an increase of 26% as compared to $293m in the same quarter a year-ago. Revenue from professional services and others grew 10% to $25.4m from $22.6m of the same period last year.

For the quarter ended July 31, 2010, the company’s operating income increased marginally to $29.7m from $29.5m year-over-year.

Salesforce.com posted a net income of $15m, a decline of 29% as compared to net income of $21.2m of Q2 FY10. EPS decreased 35% to $0.11 from $0.17 of the same period last year.

Geographically, revenues from Americas increased to $275m accounting for 70% of total revenues. Revenue from Europe grew to $66m accounting for 17% of total revenues, and Asia Pacific revenue ($54m) accounted for 13% of total revenue.

Salesforce.com chairman and chief executive officer Marc Benioff said that they are delighted to raise the company’s full fiscal year 2011 revenue guidance to a range of $1.595bn to $1.6bn.

"Our accelerating revenue growth in the second quarter, combined with an excellent quarter of new business worldwide, gives us confidence to raise our guidance to this exciting new milestone," Benioff said.
