Oracle has acquired Silver Creek Systems, a provider of product data quality software, to strengthen its position in data integration with advanced data quality capabilities to manage product data across multiple industries.
The company said that the combination of both the companies will enhance product data quality across enterprise applications including its product information management data hub, agile product lifecycle management, supply chain management and enterprise resource planning offerings.
According to Oracle, Silver Creek’s DataLens product data quality software is designed to simplify product descriptions, enabling enterprises to manage product data. Accurate product data improves enhances supply chain execution, increases operational efficiencies, and facilitates with better business decisions across the enterprise.
Oracle said that the addition of Silver Creek products complements its information management offerings that include data integration, data quality, master data management and business intelligence.
