According to a report by Kaspersky Lab and B2B International only two out of five organisations use effective technologies to protect against corporate threats.
The survey conducted in in November 2012 found that anti-malware protection is used by 82% of the companies and 80% are using the anti-spam technologies.
The data revealed that about 200,000 new malicious programmes are detected every day and 72% of all email messages are spam, while more than 80% of the companies have implemented applications that protect against these threats.
According to the company, the traditional antivirus technologies can not provide protection from the complex malware and is targeted by the attacks.
The security can be ensured by using additional protection technologies and by controlling activities that are not directly related to the employee’s work, the company said.
According to the study conducted by B2B International about 43% of the respondents used the technology that detect attacks on IT infrastructure, while 15% do not know that such systems exist or are not interested in using them.
About half of the companies surveyed control the use of external devices or third-party applications and 55% use NAC technology, whereas one in five companies surveyed are planning to adopt one or more technologies in 2013.
