Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has unveiled the new Lumia 925 smartphone expected to go on sale throughout Europe in June.

The smartphone is an updated version of Lumia 920, which is powered by Qualcomm 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor and operates on Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system.

The smartphone comes with an improved PureView camera and an aluminium frame around a polycarbonate back body.

Nokia Lumia 925 smartphone comes with the 4.5 inch AMOLED WXGA display and the 2.25 D sculpted Gorilla 2 Glass that offers high brightness mode, sunlight readability and touch with glove and nail usage.

Nokia Smart Devices executive VP, Jo Harlow, said: "We’re advancing experiences on the Nokia Lumia portfolio whether that means great new benefits for an existing Lumia owner, or bringing new showcase devices like the Nokia Lumia 925."

Features of the new smartphone also include 8.7MP camera with optical image stabilisation, Autofocus, short pulse high power dual LED flash and a 1.2MP front-facing camera.

The new phone, having 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory, also supports wireless charging with an accessory cover.

Nokia has also launched the Hipstamatic’s new app, Oggl that will be made available with Nokia Lumia smartphones and allows the users to share photos on social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Tumblr, Flickr and Instagram.
