Prepaid international calling card services provider Lycamobile Group has partnered with the UK-based payment processing firm WorldPay to execute the payment services.
The move follows the company’s decision to offer the complete portfolio of the payment services through a single service provider, who would be able to support the company to expand globally.
Company’s integrated payment services include acquiring, gateway, risk, treasury and alternative payments that are expected to support payment needs of its customers across the globe.
With the integration, the Lycamobile Group is expected to implement relevant alternative payment types in new markets, while satisfying the local preferences needs.
Lycamobile Group chairman Subaskaran Allirajah said the nature of the company’s business is inherently global as it is connecting customers with their families and friends abroad.
"Our plan is to offer a full range of services that cater to the needs of this audience, and increasingly our payment support requirements have become more complex," Allirajah added.
"We needed a provider that we could be confident would be able to support our global requests with the expertise in each payment service."
WorldPay was the obvious choice, as we expand in the future, it will be able to scale with our needs."
WorldPay deputy chairman Ron Kalifa said as businesses expand globally they need a payment provider that has the expertise of the international market but also offers a full range of services to cater for every payment requirement.
"Our combination of global acquiring licenses and portfolio of alternative payments types means we can be on hand to advise and support Lycamobile Group as it grows," Kalifa added.
