Kaspersky Lab has signed a security application supply contract for smartphones with the Qualcomm Technologies (QTI).

Under the agreement, the security application provider will offer the usage of special term of the preloading of Kaspersky Mobile Security and Kaspersky Tablet Security applications in the Android devices powered by QTI’s Qualcomm Snapdragon processors.

These special terms will be provided to the manufacturers of the Snapdragon-enabled mobile devices or tablets running on Google’s Android operating system.

Kaspersky Lab chairman and CEO, Eugene Kaspersky, said that the company works with many global companies and Qualcomm Technologies will be one of the most important among them.

"We are looking forward to providing solutions to a wide range of device manufacturers, who are designing and/or building Snapdragon-enabled mobile devices or tablets running on Android," Kaspersky added.

Currently, the Kaspersky Lab already has signed technology agreements with companies like Microsoft, IBM, Cisco, Juniper Networks, Alcatel Lucent, Blue Coat, Check Point, D-Link, GFI, Gwava, Netgear, SonicWALL RSA, ZyXel, Alt-N, Parallels, Lenovo and Facebook.
