Google is allowing inbox access for a limited batch of Google App customers by accepting requests to join an early adopter programme that will allow App-based companies to try the Inbox by Gmail app.

The initiative is aimed at solving problems related to accessing Google Apps via a company run email account.

Presently, Inbox for Gmail allows users to snooz report notifications until the user wishes to see it, while also providing reminders to schedule tasks that are important to the user.

Google said: "Every company and every person is different, so we want to get more input on how Inbox will work at your company.

"Starting next month, we’ll begin enabling Inbox for a small group of Google Apps customers to learn about their needs, challenges and use cases.

"To start, we plan to work very closely with the early adopter companies, so not everyone that applies will be accepted right away, but the program will continue to expand over the coming months."

Users will not be able to sign up for the service directely, as the initiative has to be taken by the administrator.
