HP has introduced two new devices, the HP SlateBook x2 and the HP Split x2, to expand its range of x2 detachable PC portfolio.

Both the devices come with a magnetic hinge that allows users to remove the screen from the base and use them as a tablet.

The HP SlateBook x2, which is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 4 mobile processor, runs on the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 version and comes with dual battery system including one battery in the base and one in the tablet.

The device has a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen display, 64GB of memory, DTS Sound+ application and comes with support for Google Now, Google Search, Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive and Google+ Hangouts for multi-person video chat.

The HP Split x2, powered by 3rd generation Intel Core processor, runs on the Microsoft Windows 8 operating system and features a 13.3-inch diagonal display.

Features of the HP Split x2 include the 2MP HP TrueVision Full HD webcam and the HP ClickPad for precise multifinger and gesture navigation.

The company plans to launch both the devices in August 2013 in the US.
