GSI Commerce has signed a new partnership with the Helly Hansen retail group to develop and operate international online stores in eight European countries and the US and Canada.
The companies said that the web stores are scheduled to launch during early 2010 and will be Helly Hansen’s first move to sell merchandise directly online.
Under the agreement, GSI will provide e-commerce services that includes web technology, order processing and call centre services for each store. The web stores will be built to the specific country in which they operate and it will localise country specific components of the service.
Steve Davis, EVP and president international of GSI Commerce, said: “We are delighted to work with Helly Hansen, a clear leader with a history that extends more than 100 years. We look forward to building the Helly Hansen online business and giving customers across Europe and North America access to the full range of Helly Hansen products.”
Earlier in August, GSI Commerce has expanded its partnership with Peacocks, UK-based fashion value retailers, to provide comprehensive e-commerce services including web technology, web store design, fulfilment, order processing and call centre services.
