Internet security provider Check Point has launched a new Appliance to protect data centres from cyber-attacks.
The 13500 Appliance, which is the first in line of Check Point’s new 13000 data centre network security appliances, should boost security while maintaining network performance for data centres.
The release comes as Check Point, which provides 3D security and up to 61,000 appliance models to businesses, was found to hold the largest revenue share in the Firewall and UTM market.
Key features include 23.6 Gbps of real-life firewall throughput, .7Gbps of real-life IPS throughput, capacity of up to 28 million concurrent IP connections and a range of optional Network Interface Controllers (NIC).
Dorit Dor, VP of products at Check Point, said: "As cyber-attacks continue to increase and evolve in sophistication, ensuring data center security has become a top priority for customers all over the world. However data centre security should not be compromised by trade-offs in performance,"
Check Point’s multi-layer security protections including firewall, threat prevention, data protection and secure-Web gateway are also supported on the 13500 Appliance.
