Capita IT Services has introduced a new pay as you go cloud service, Capita Private Cloud that allows industries to adopt cloud computing in their organisations to reduce cost and improve business performance.
The new service is built on VCE Vblock Systems’ converged infrastructure and is claimed to offer the flexibility of public cloud services with security of a private cloud environment.
According to the company, the service is designed for companies that wish to adopt a mix of public and private cloud services and stores all the data in Capita’s UK data centres.
Capita deputy chief executive Andy Parker said that cloud computing has become an integral part of many businesses from across the public and private sector.
"The combination of public and private cloud services, with the support of a dedicated account manager and technical experts, means businesses can meet all their IT requirements in one place," Parker added.
"In addition, managing all cloud platforms together in Capita’s UK data centres guarantees data security and sovereignty – a key for many public or highly regulated companies, such as banks and pension providers."
Additionally, the Capita Private Cloud offers customers with access to 2,000 pre-tested cloud applications through a self service portal that enables them to tailor, monitor and manage services.
